Bad Harzburg sits on the northern edge of the Harz, stretches up into the Radau valley and borders the Harz National Park. A brine spring was found here in 1569, and in the 19th century the town ranked as a “Weltbad”, a spa of international standing. Today the brine for the Sole-Therme comes from 840 metres underground. Our houses are in the districts of Bündheim and Schlewecke.

Since 1929 the Burgberg cable car has taken visitors up the Großer Burgberg in three minutes, to the remains of the Harzburg castle. The lynx at the Rabenklippe are about a four-kilometre walk away. Buses take you to Torfhaus, where the Goethe Trail to the Brocken starts, and to Goslar with its imperial palace and the Rammelsberg mine. With the guest card these bus rides are free.
